Even in our life of faith, there are moments when we may forget the love of our Heavenly Father. Yet we must never let His love fade from our hearts—the love that led Him to sacrifice Himself so we might be delivered from eternal death and receive eternal life. To save us, sinners who once betrayed Him in heaven, our Father endured the agony of the cross without hesitation. For thirty-seven long years, He bore suffering, His body hardened with calluses and marked with bruises, yet He endured it all for our sake.
When we keep the love of Father, who gave His life to save ours, deeply engraved in our hearts, we gain strength even in times of weariness. However, when we forget that love and focus only on ourselves, hardship becomes heavier. Father endured pain with joy, never losing His smile, because He rejoiced in giving life to His children. Let us always remember: Everything He endured, He did to save us.
Jesus said, “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you” (Jn 13:15). Following the example of Father, let us guide our brothers and sisters with love even if it means facing inconvenience or sacrifice. Leading even one soul to heaven requires personal sacrifice. As children of God, we must patiently endure discomfort even when others cause it. Rather than hurting others, we should choose to bear their pain so they may find comfort through us.
Wherever we go, members of the Church of God are known for yielding first, offering warm greetings, and taking the lead in challenging tasks. This reflects our faithful obedience to God’s will. To lead many to the truth, it is vital to share the message of life, but love shown through actions is equally powerful. In a world where love has grown cold, people are deeply moved when someone truly cares for them. And how much more touched will they be if we also teach them the truth of the New Covenant Passover? When they realize that we loved them so much to lead them to the truth, they, too, will be inspired to follow that example and begin showing love to others in their own way.
Since Father loved us and gave us life, let us think of how we can bring joy to Him. Like Father, let us care for one another with love, guiding our family in faith toward the kingdom of heaven. As the Bible says, “The greatest of these is love” (1 Co 13:13), may we become the children of Zion who practice perfect love and bring delight to Father.
What pleases Father most is when His children study the Bible diligently, preach with a sincere heart, and pray earnestly so that they may live. He rejoices when we lead souls to repentance and bring them to heaven. If we keep in our hearts Father’s love of sacrifice and preach the gospel, praying with the resolve to obey His words and reach heaven, Father will be truly pleased—perhaps even moved to tears. Let us do something worthy of praise, so that when we stand before Him in heaven, we can say, “Father, I’ve brought this soul and that soul to You through these efforts.”
Isn’t it overflowing grace that Father has called us and made us His children? He has made us sons and daughters of the Almighty God, allowed us to share in the work of the gospel, and is now leading us to the eternal kingdom. Let us give thanks and endure the trials of this world with joy, knowing we are on our way to a glorious heaven.
Life on this earth is not easy, but we have the hope of heaven. Today is a step toward heaven. Tomorrow is another step. The joyful kingdom of heaven awaits us. Let us press on with gladness, rejoicing in the glory that is to come.
We are told to pray continually, so in times of trouble, let us pray even more. Trust in Father and pray, for “the LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous” (Pr 15:29). The labor and sacrifices we make for the gospel and our life of faith will shine forever in the Book of Life. Let us live only to please our Father, and may each of us receive abundant rewards and have our names shine eternally and beautifully in the kingdom of heaven.
