God the Mother is the Creator, who made the heavens and the earth along with God the Father. She is also called Heavenly Mother or Spiritual Mother. The Bible explains the existence of God as Father and Mother. God the Father has been known to mankind for a long time, but God the Mother is to be known in the last days in accordance with the prophecy. This is why people have a prejudice that there is only God the Father. The Bible, the only book that testifies about the Savior, tells us about God the Mother from Genesis to Revelation.
Elohim & God the Mother
In the original Old Testament written in Hebrew, the words for God or god are El (אֵל), Eloah (אֱלוֹהַּ), and Elohim (אֱלֹהִים), with the most commonly used term being Elohim. Elohim is a plural noun that is interpreted as gods or Gods. This means there must be more than one God. The word Elohim is found about 2,500 times in the Old Testament, including the first sentence of the Bible, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” It is a very common expression. The reason God the Creator is described as a plural noun is found in Genesis 1:26–27.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness . . .” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Ge 1:26–27
When God created mankind, He said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness.” Male and female are created in the image of God. This clearly reveals the fact that God exists in both male and female images. If only God the Father existed, He would have to use the first-person singular pronoun “I” instead of the plural pronouns “us” and “our” when He refers to Himself. However, the reason God repeatedly emphasizes “us” is because there are two Gods—God the Father and God the Mother. Just as the New Testament records God the Father (Mt 6:9), God the Mother is also mentioned directly.
But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. Gal 4:26
The Jerusalem above, that is, the heavenly temple, represents God the Mother. “Our,” here, refers to the saints who will be saved. In the last days, the saints who will receive the blessings of salvation are those who receive God Elohim—God the Father and God the Mother—as God’s children. Father, mother, and children are terms among the members of a family. The heavenly family, too, consists of a father, mother, and children. Without a mother, no children can be born; and without children, no one can be a father. The reason we call God the “Father” is because God the Mother exists.
Bride in the Heavenly Wedding Banquet
Jesus Christ implied the existence of God the Mother through the Parable of the Wedding Banquet about 2,000 years ago. He likened the kingdom of heaven to entering a wedding banquet. In the parable, the king who held the wedding banquet represents God, and the bridegroom represents Jesus, and the guests who are invited represent the saints (Mt 22:1–14). The reason the bride is not mentioned is not because she does not exist, but because it was not the time for her to appear. If there were no bride to begin with, it would make no sense to liken the wedding banquet, in which the bride is the main character, to the kingdom of heaven. The book of Revelation records the arrival of the time of prophecy and the appearance of the bride.
“For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.” . . . Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.’ ” Rev 19:7–9
The wedding banquet is finally completed with the appearance of the Bride, the Wife of the Lamb. The Lamb represents Jesus Christ (Jn 1:29) and also God the Father in the light of the Trinity. The Bible explains that the Bride is the “Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven” (Rev 21:9–10), and that Jerusalem is “our mother” (Gal 4:26). Therefore, the Bride of the wedding banquet, who appears in due time, is God the Mother. Those who understand this parable and come to God the Father and God the Mother are the blessed ones invited to the wedding banquet. They are blessed because they are qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven and receive eternal life.
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. Rev 22:17
At the end of the Bible, God the Mother, the Bride, is described as the One who gives the water of life. The water of life refers to God’s word that leads to eternal life.
Providence of Creation and God the Mother
Everyone is born into this world through their father and mother. It is the same with many species as well as humans. Birds in the sky and fish in the water all receive life from their fathers and mothers. The animals on the ground are the same. Notably, it is a mother who plays a key role in the birth of life. The one who imposed such providence on all creation is God, who created all things.
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Rev 4:11
The earthly things are a copy and shadow that awakens us to the heavenly things (Heb 8:5). The Bible also says that God’s divine nature is reflected in all creation.
Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Ro 1:19–20
What is the will of God creating numerous living things on the earth to receive life through their fathers and mothers? It is to show that eternal life is given by God the Father and God the Mother. We can also understand the will of God through the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, who were created in the image of God.
Adam named his wife Eve (which means life), because she would become the mother of all the living. Ge 3:20
Just as Eve was given the name “life,” only women can conceive and give birth to life. Adam represents God the Father who comes later to save mankind (Ro 5:14), and his wife Eve represents God the Mother. The fact that Eve was given the name “life” and she became the mother of all the living implies the truth that all life is given by God the Mother, who is the reality of Eve. The love of every mother in the world who loves her child born from her womb as her own life, reflects the love of Heavenly Mother.
A mother’s love accompanies devotion, sacrifice, and pain. As we trace back a mother’s love passed down through generations, at its source lies Heavenly Mother. Just as mankind seeks God the Father and hopes for salvation through the Bible, we must now seek God the Mother, who has appeared in due time.
