Here are biblical answers to the questions of those who are new to God the Mother.
Elohim is a plural noun in Hebrew, meaning Gods. It refers to God the Father and God the Mother. In the original text of the Old Testament written in Hebrew, most of the words for God are Elohim. Elohim, the plural form of Eloah, was used about 2,500 times, instead of the singular nouns El and Eloah that mean God or deity. This means that God does not exist only as God the Father. That is why God sometimes refers to Himself as “us” (Ge 1:26).
God the Mother is God the Creator who made all things together with God the Father, and She is the Savior of mankind. In the book of Genesis, God, who created all things in six days, is described in the plural form of “us” (Ge 1:26). When God stopped the work of building the Tower of Babel or when He sent His prophets, He said, “Let us go down” and “Who will go for us?” (Ge 11:7–8; Isa 6:8). This is evidence that God who is referred to as “us,” God the Father and God the Mother, initiated the Creation together and are still carrying out the work of redemption together.
The Bible testifies that there is not only the Father of spirits but also the Mother of spirits in heaven (Mt 6:9; Gal 4:26). In other words, God the Mother exists. This fact is clearly shown in the book of Genesis written by Moses. When God created mankind, He made male and female in the image and likeness of God who referred to Him as “us” (Ge 1:26–27). In other words, the male image of God the Father and the female image of God the Mother created mankind. Thus, the Bible testifies that there is not only God the Father but also God the Mother.
The church that believes in God the Mother is the World Mission Society Church of God (abbreviated as the Church of God). There are many churches in the world, but there is no church except the Church of God that believes in God the Mother, who created mankind and gives the water of life (Ge 1:26–27; Rev 22:17). The Church of God, which was established by Christ Ahnsahnghong in 1964, believes in God the Father and God the Mother in accordance with the teachings of the Bible. The Church also keeps the truths of the new covenant such as the Sabbath and the Passover established by Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago.
In the Bible, there is not only God the Father but also God the Mother. When God created mankind, He said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness” (Ge 1:26). If God were the only God the Father, He would have said, “Let me make man in my image, in my likeness.” However, since He said “us,” we can clearly see that there is not only God the Father.
If then, why did God say “us” and “our”? According to the following verse, God created mankind in the image of God, male and female (Ge 1:27). This means that God exists in male image and in female image. In other words, God the Father and God the Mother created mankind together.
Calling God “Father” suggests that we are God’s children and also implies the existence of God the Mother.
By definition, a father means a man who has a child. Therefore, the fact that God is called “Father” means that God has His children. Actually, the Bible tells us that we are God’s children (Mt 6:9; 2 Co 6:17–18). Can a father alone have a child? Without a mother, children do not exist; without children, a man cannot have the title of father. The title of father can only be established when there is a mother. Therefore, the title of God the Father reveals the existence of God’s children and God the Mother as well. The Bible testifies that our Mother is in heaven (Gal 4:26). In the earthly family, there are not only a father and children but also a mother. In the same way, in the heavenly family, there are not only God the Father and God’s children but also God the Mother.
The bride of Jesus in the book of Revelation refers to God the Mother. The Bible prophesied that the bride would appear when the wedding of the Lamb is held (Rev 19:7–8). At the wedding banquet of the Lamb, there are the bridegroom, the bride, and guests (those who are invited). The Lamb, the bridegroom, refers to Jesus (Jn 1:29). Specifically, the Lamb who appears with the bride refers to Second Coming Jesus. The Bride refers to God the Mother represented as the heavenly Jerusalem (Rev 21:9–10; Gal 4:26). Those who are invited refer to the saints who will receive eternal life (Rev 19:9). In this Age of the Holy Spirit, God the Father who is Second Coming Jesus and God the Mother who is the Bride are inviting God’s people to the heavenly wedding banquet (Rev 22:17).
Today, many people do not believe in God the Mother whom the Bible testifies about because they do not keep the new covenant. God said that He would be the God of those who engrave the law of the new covenant in their hearts and keep it, and that only they would become His people and fully know God (Jer 31:31–34). However, many Christians today do not keep the Passover of the new covenant established by Jesus (Lk 22:15, 19–20). Since they have not put the new covenant in their minds, they do not realize God the Mother.
